Lublin the capital of Lubelskie Region
Lubelskie is located in central-eastern Poland and it is called the Gate of the East. One of the greatest potentials of the Lubelskie Region is human capital with a very strong academic center (16 universities with over 67,000 students) and an impressive scientific and research potential, especially in the field of natural and medical sciences. Young educated staff in cities is a potential for the development of the BPO sector. The region is predominantly agricultural, known e.g. from the cultivation of hops, raspberries and tobacco. Due to the quality of the natural environment, investments in the agri-food sector related to organic food are being developed. Natural resources and research conducted at universities in the Region lead to the development of the renewable energy sector. The machinery and automotive industries also have traditions here.

- The Lubelskie region is called the Tuscany of the East with two national parks, 17 nature parks, 17 protected landscape areas and 87 nature reserves
- The Lublin Castle is one of the architectural and historical symbols of Lublin, standing on the top of the hill. The kings were frequent visitors here, but now it is the seat of the National Museum
- Museum of the Lublin Village, is one of the largest and most beautiful open-air museums in Poland. The place presents monuments characteristic of villages from different parts of the Region
- State Museum in Majdanek in Lublin - former concentration camp
- The Krakow Gate is an architectural symbol of Lublin - it houses the Museum of the History of the City of Lublin
- The Perła Brewery is a monument of Lublin's industry - a former cliche in which beer was produced between the years. Currently, its underground is open to the public, where you can learn about the history of this place, it’s production and taste the regional beer
- Many unique places and monuments awarded the European Heritage Label. Lublin's Old Town with its well-preserved, mainly Renaissance buildings with traces of Gothic, Baroque and Classicism has been honored with the title of a Historical Monument
- Over 350 km of the so-called "GreenVelo Eastern Cycling Trail". It is the longest bicycle route in Poland, leading through five Regions of eastern Poland, along which there are recreational places, accommodation, restaurants and bicycle service points
- The Municipal Sports and Recreation Center "Bystrzyca", as the largest entity in the region offering sports and recreational services, provides a number of attractions in its sports and recreational facilities, including Aqua Lublin, the most modern complex in Poland
- Lubelskie offers many places and monuments related to various cultures and religions. One of the historic cities of the Lublin region is Zamość - the city of the Renaissance on the UNESCO World Heritage List
- There are many health resorts (e.g. Nałęczów), sanctuaries, noble mansions, and sightseeing parks
- Horse Stud in Janów Podlaski - the oldest and one of the most beautiful stud farms in Poland. Existing since 1817, it is famous for breeding Arabian and Anglo-Arabian horses. There is a historic nineteenth-century complex of stables on the premises of the stud. Every year, the stud hosts the Arabian Horse Festival with a world-famous horse auction
- The region has many cycling, Nordic walking, horseback riding, walking and canoeing routes
Annual cultural events, festivals, concerts:
- Jagiellonian fair - festival of folk art and culture held annually in August in Lublin. During the fair, you can admire traditional crafts, folk art, music presented on large stages and streets of the city, various workshops, performances, cinema shows and meetings
- European festival of taste during which you can get to know the various flavors of Europe- culinary shows, tastings, workshops, vernissages, reconstructions of historical dishes
- Land Art Festival - the main idea of the festival is art that goes beyond large economic centers, museums and galleries. During the festival, open-air art galleries are created in places with unique natural, natural and cultural values of Eastern Poland
- Carnaval Sztukmistrzów turns Lublin into a unique circus scene with many theater, circus, dance and music shows
